It is directly behind Acapulco Airport, a taxi fare from the airport would cost about 5 dollars. + Just south of Acapulco Bay, Playa Bonfil is about 3 miles south of Princess Hotel which is another surf spot listed on this site.

hi there., the difference between each other, Bonfil it's normal beach safety, and Barra vieja, it's on one Open River, i don't know how it's the name.., "river and lake" LAGUNA... heheehe, so often it's open, when the River comes into the beach, dig into the sand, and make AWESOME tube barrels.., (Scary) for sharkys sometimes., but small., Locals are nice, very nice., Bonfil it's close to city and the water color is SO different., you can drive 15min, to each spot.., I do prefer Bonfil., the point always moves! ;-) nice for padling.., and no king of point like other crouwdly spots..Hope that you like it.,-forgive my english- not' so good.

How different is la bonfil as opposed to barra vieja? Which is the better spot? La bonfil sounds like it might be better. Anybody know???
