Additional Surfing Infos
Wave quality suffered substantialy after Hurricane Julliete. Sand from arroyo flow covered reef. Little more than a glorified close-out. With the elimination of El Tule and very few spots in the area, it gets crowded quick.
  Overview
Atmosphere Very intense localism. The gang mentality is alive and well. If you enjoy riding behind someone who has all the style of a Rhesus monkey on crack, this is the spot for you. If you complain, the trouble starts and it can get ugly.
General Used to be a fun wave. With the dramatic drop in quality and the ever increasing crowd pressure, I would pass unless you want to practice your 1 on 20 fighting skills.

surfing cabo soon
I am surfing Cabo soon and simply just want to enjoy myself while there. Would be nice to surf and smoke a bit and not deal with any trouble. I am a mixed martial arts fighter specializing in Jiu Jitsu so its not like I am super worried about the fighting part however, i just want to relax...anyone need a friend to surf with or know of any cool people to chill with please do let me know byronmusic@tampabay.rr.com

okay
i surfed there last week and had no problem with the locals or anything, one local was a nice guy and i spoke a little spanish with him, it was breaking really shallow and rocks were stickin up and almost scratched up my board, but i think this wave is a little too overrated go to the estuary about thirty minutes away its a hollow ass beachbreak

It's a cultural thing
If you spend any time driving here, you will begin to understand the (lack of) surfing etiquitte. Monkey see, monkey do. I asked a local opthomologist if Mexicans lacked sufficient peripheral vision, maybe some kind of genetic malfunction. He laughed and assured me that they can see as well as anyone else but whether they chose to or not was another question all together. So does knowing that the surfing techniques are a cultural snafu make it any easier? Not really, a drop in is still a drop in.
