whatever
I had to laugh when I read the post saying the Beaner Navy was threatening fines of 10,000 pesos.

Dude, that's like 10 bucks.

expat hell
San Juanico is turning into an expat vs visitor version of the Gaza strip. Awesome wave that can go on perfectly for several hundred yards. Atmosphere has deteriorated substantially due to expats in the past few years. There should be some law requiring expats to be at least as friendly as the poor locals they displaced! When you make it into town, find a real Mexican to find out what the true scoop is on camping, surfing, etc.

Navy rumors. Scorp is safe
Are U guys on meth? Such lies. None of this happening. Scorp is safe, wait your turn in the line-up and smile. I've been down here for months.....

The navy thing is for real
I was pretty sure everything on this site was b.s. But I just drove my old truck up from Cabo last week. I met a crew along the way who said the navy has been patrolling the water with a bull horn, threatening fines, etc. Its not a joke.

yeah scorps has gotten pretty sketchy in the last year. i just got back from there a week ago. I only stayed a day because the Mexican navy came and pulled a boat into the lineup at second point and told everyone to get out of the water or they would be fined 10000 pesos. I went down to Cabo instead for 3 weeks and got killer waves. But the day I was leaving Cabo I met a guy who said he was in Scorps last week and the Navy was still patrolling the points. .

Went there this June 07' and it was $9 a head per night to camp which is insane, plus the wave is as crowded as rincon.
