san miguel aprils? - how does san miguel do with those crossed up april swells. i would imagine it be better than summer but is it worth it to go or should i find another place to surf thats better.thanks

unbelieveable! - San Miguel on Dec. 29, 30, and 31 was unbelieveable!! The surfr was off the rictor scale and perfect conditions. My friend and me were out at first light and it was great! Just make sure to get insurance before you leave. We have some great video so if you want to see it, send me an E-mail.

Score - Surfed San Miguel on Dec.29 and 30th,2002. on the 29th, a bit crowded, but fun, head-high walls. on the 30th, less crowded, at times just me and my crew out, bigger, 'bout 2-3' overhead, long rides connecting to the light blue trailer. the cool thing about this place is that it's not too sensitive to winds. not too sectiony dispite 20 mph winds.

gooooin off - Me and my buddy mark caught San Miguel on Monday Dec. 16th pumping at 6-8ft. Damn that wave is soo much fun when it is big. Get some photos of this epic wave.

Crowded yes - Spot is crowded but good. I wish i could have spots like this to myself for once a week. That would probably last a year. fun stuff

surfed it a few years back - It was crowded in the morning but the afternoon -low tide created some of the most epic 4 foot surf I've ever seen.... I regret that I wasn't in tune that day but I must have gotten like 4 dry barrels that day.... Winter time is the best

there are... - better summer time spots than San Miguel. You will not see the magic of this place in summer! When it wraps around the point, then you've caught San Miguel on a good day. Crowded!!!

season - when is a good season to go to san miguel? i heard its mostly a winter break but also that its pretty good in the summer 2. im wondering what the summer swells are usually like and the average size.thanks

San Miguel - I read somewhere that Jim Morrison used to hang at the bar there in San Miguel. I guess the one at the top of the hill.

a zoo, but worth it! - walked up to the point on a random afternoon and watched back-lit 5-7 ft sets peel across the point. As they hit the inside section the 20 mph offshore hollowed them out and everyone in the water had a dry barrell to go home with. I feel lucky to have seen the potential of this break. There are a ton of excellent local surfers from the Ensenada area in the lineup. Show them respect, but dont let their aggressiveness deter you from catching waves. Stake your claim!
