safe to camp - Have heard some stories on theft. How safe to camp during the week (sept.)? Anybody else there camping? Wouldn't want to be the only one.

fickle and crowded - Well i have been there about 5 times and i have never seen it look like the pictures. But there are still a bunch of old longboarders there like cardiff reef. Might as well stay up at k-38.

Windy - Make sure you secure your gear when in the water. Besides theft, the wind kicks in and HOWLS! Blow your stuff right off the cliff, your tent, hibachi, whatever. Wave gets fun, best on SW, yeah the weekend crowds can get heavy. Pack your trash, aloha.
