First time to La Fonds/not other Baja locations.. - Just wanted to know if anyone had any advice to give,as far as the warm showers. Heard that the N current was pretty bad any info on that too? Thanx
La Fonda... - La Fonda is a great mid-week spot. Was just a there a few weeks back on a Monday night and was one of 4 other groups at the camp ground. As anyone who has ever surfed here knows.. The paddle out can be absolute hell. Channels out are hard to find, but when you find one, happy days. The surf is pretty strong, just amke sure to stay away from the N point, there is a lagoon and if you get stuck in it, you are not gonna be a happy camper. Also there's always a nasty N bound current that will eventually push you into the lagoon, just keep that in mind. It's a great place when San Diego is 2-3, La Fonda will be 4-6 with nice shape.
no title - Great get away - and not far from home. When you can't get a reservation at San Onofre - go to La Fonda!
By Need to go real deep these days ,even then.
too late - this area used to be great when all that was there was thethe Hotel La Fonda. Not a real Baja experience anymore. Good for young kids who don't know any better. The waves can be real good tho'.

no title - This is great info, we camp at La Fonda often, and appreciate this site!
FUN PLACE - LA FONDA IS A GREAT PLACE TO CAMP AND THE FOOD IS GOOD TOO. THE LEGENDARY CANTINA IS WHERE MY 25 YEAR OLD FRIEND ATTIC DAVE DID IT WITH A 15 YEAR OLD! COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL! OH YEAH THE WAVES ARE FUN TOO!
no title - This spot is the gate way to mex surf. Camping is the only way to go. The break is agressive at times. Least dangerous spot to learn to surf in mexico. Most surf i have seen in mex is reef. Play is safe down there medical help is along way away. Remember this spot is a beach break with rocks here and there. It gets hollow!!!and pounding i have had my ass handed to me here on low tide.
... - there are hot showers, you just have to pay for it, timed showers. aqua caliente por dinero.
no title - go to cancun and sip some XX in the sun, much more safe!
Best place to learn.. - Whats the best place to be like 3 months and learn to surf in baja? any place cheap near a surfable and fun wave beach??I was going to go to puerto escondido but i have been told its not a good place to learn, and that i will not get much fun for months.. is that true?thanks.. PS. what would you do (and where would yo go) if you had 3 months to learn every morning? really intensive surfing. THANKS. (Only mexican locations.)
