Oside Omar Proof of Salsi Closure - Surf Access Blocked at Salsipuedes. The environmental group Wildcoast has issued a statement lamenting the lack of public access to the Salsipuedes surf spot just north of Ensenada. Salsipuedes is being marketed as a condominium development by Grupo Lazga, and environmentalists are complaining about the cut off of public access. Serge Dedina, Executive Director of WiLDCOAST, argued that this is a problem not only for surfers but also for efforts to protect the Baja California coast. "Without coastal access for local communities building an ethic of environmental stewardship is nearly impossible. How will the average person ever understand the need to protect our coast if they're barred from using the beach?" p

Just cousins - Alicia and Fernando are just cousins to one of the owners, Rudie. They tell you what they are told. And then maybe not all. We use to live there and miss it very much. Now we live at K-38. but not the same as living on the farm and having the freedom of the land and surf. The gas plant is going to mess with the surf there also.

Yamano....the last day will be.... - roughly September 2007. That's what Alicia told us in October. That's straight from the source, although I got the feeling she didn't really want to talk about it/keep it on the downlow. I got the impression they didn't want the publicity for fears it may ruin the deal. They're not really the owners of the land, just the guardian for some big wig on the mainland. Rumors were flying in the lineup from Salsipuedes closing in weeks to dynamiting the cliffs to create a sandy beach. The bottom line is it's not gonna be like how it is for long.Later.

Loved this place. So many good times - This was our go to camping place in Mex for the last 10 years. I've had some great times here. Does anyone know when the last time you will be able to camp here is? I'd love to get in one more session.
