Hostel in Puerto Plata
Hi. Me and 2 friends are going to Dominican in Jan and the first stop will be Puerto Plata. Does anyone know a nice cheap hostel? Also, how's the skateboard sceen in Puerto Plata, and chics ofcourse? Please if you have some info, send me an email on flipreal@yahoo.com.

Surf near hotels
Hi, I'm trying to come to Dom Rep at Christmas. I'm with my girlfriend who wants other activities than surfing, so we're looking for an all-inclusive hotel. But I want to able to wake up and walk to a surf spot... Can anyone advise of any good hotels which are on the beach by a wave? Anywhere on the island. Thanks a lot

Amigo de surf en Sur del país
Soy un pobre Sueco que surfea agua muuuuuy fria todo el año en Suecia. Digo, con hielo y todo.
Pero cada año viajamos, mi esposa (Dominicana) y yo, a Santo Domingo para visitar la familia de ella.

He surfeado La Bolla que esta cerca del capital y Casa Bonita sur de Barahona. Encuentro tambien claro pero ahora hablo del sur.
He visto muchos olas fantasticas en la costa del sur (no voy a revelar sus nombres, son secret spots) pero siempre estoy solo alla y no me gusta entrar en olas donde nunca he surfeado o visto otros surferos.

Entonces, me gusta conocer surferos Dominicanos que no tiene nada contra un Sueco en el lineup.

(El año pasado hablé con dos dominicanos pero perdí sus numeros)

Cheap flight
Hey, there are a lot of cheap flight from Germany as well. Condor has a monthly Promotion with great offers to Puerto Plata (25min from Cabarete). Also Ltur.de offers cheap last minutes.

Surfs up again :-)
The summer is running to an end and the surfs up again. The summer is usually great for beginners and intermediates as the spot Encuentro offers some great waves for experienced surfers too in the winter.
The waves are up again and everybody is happy and smiling. Next to the surf, Encuentro is a beautiful place to be. Friendly people and locals and a good vibe.
Recommended surfschool is the one al the way to the left (Antonio;s). He has all the gear you need and there is always somebody who can help you.
