noplace exempt
Looking around for a cool place to get some waves, seems theres noplace exempt from hassels, mainland mex crowded,costa rica packed salvador dangerous, nicaragua surf camped out caribbean ? so many bummers in the world I guess it just had to affect surfing as well. too bad!

Unted DR locals
The times of free waves & good vibes are over in the DR, localism is now in full effect!!!, you mother fucker visitors who dont respect the rules (drop ins & trying to get a wave over a local) will be imediately expeled from the water, if you try and talk shit and act like you own the place we will fuck you up, 100% guaranteed. A piece of advice: RESPECT THE LOCALS AT ALL SPOTS IN THE DR!!!

Better the north coast
Bahoruco is known for having a good wave quality all year long. But if you come in winte, you should go to the north coast of the island.

classic lefts
There are 2 hotels nearby. Bahoruco beach (on the beach) resort and casa bonita (short walk), they are Ok, perfect if the surf is on, you can also stay in a few places on the town of Barahona (20 min drive). It's my favorite spot in DR so stay away from it, just kidding.
Make sure you bathe in the small stream after a long session.
Take your old clothes for the local kids, really poor community, the'll really apreciate it, and might get you some free coconuts and fish. But you'll probably give them some pesos anyway.

January Surf
Looking for a place to stay nearby the beach so I can surf waves in month of enero. Any informacion where I can rest and chill would be cool.
