The Tree Access
From Jaco go to Playa Hermosa, at the last building on the right (going south) turn onto the dirt track paralleling the beach. Four hundred meters down there is a really obvious tree (usually with a bunch of surfers hanging around).

Additional Surfing Infos
This spot is a continuation of Playa Hermosa, but has a slightly less 'rough' wave. It is a fast, hollow beach break which is one of the most consistent spots in the area.
  Overview
Atmosphere Often busy, but a big enough break to spread out the crowds. A fast technical wave, The Tree has been the site of competitions
General Consistent, fast and powerful - one of the best spots in the area.

tree closed out
I spent a week here and never saw it good in front of the tree. Lots of guys out getting pummeled, but few makeable waves.

the tree
the tree isn't all i thought that it was going to be. most waves would close out, no matter the size. fun, yes. but not the best break in hermosa. turle farm is "my" favorite break here.

Why cant we just say hermosa?¿
Yo. Why do you gotta up and tell every little crease of hermosa's shoreline as its own surf break. This is hermosa beach. There are peaks everywhere that most of the time closeout. Peace Dog
