Best Beach Breaks in The World - This place receives so much swell it is amazing. The surf can be totally epic on it's day. The surf here is generally fun. However can get really big and will wash surfers to the beach. One of my favorite pastimes is to sit on my deck and watch a group of frothy surfers that think they can surf. Then they attempt to paddle out and get washed away. No worries, humility is a good thing. It is very entertaining. Totally amazing area. If you plan a trip here you will not get skunked. The only problem is it may be to big. If that happens you need to know where to look. Good luck with that!

tree closed out - I spent a week here and never saw it good in front of the tree. Lots of guys out getting pummeled, but few makeable waves.

the tree - the tree isn't all i thought that it was going to be. most waves would close out, no matter the size. fun, yes. but not the best break in hermosa. turle farm is "my" favorite break here.

Why cant we just say hermosa?¿ - Yo. Why do you gotta up and tell every little crease of hermosa's shoreline as its own surf break. This is hermosa beach. There are peaks everywhere that most of the time closeout. Peace Dog

The Tree is sick - Over a long time I spent in Costa, The Tree was consistently one of the best spots on Playa Hermosa. Cleaner, better-formed waves, get up early for less crowds. Can be quite powerful, experienced surfers will have the best time here. Can occasionally close out, just pick your waves carefully and get ready to get slammed when the swell is pumpin.

Tree tactics - Surfed the Tree alone this summer on a sizeable swell. Line up with the white villas south of the tree and you'll be hooked up to go either way and get a quick shack. Beware the undertow on the shallow inside. Keep you spine flexible and hang onto your board. Tough swim if you lose it. Easy enough paddle out if you are persistent and patient. Fast frickin lefts!

close out - have been there 3 times.picks up lots of swell, but in my opinion closes out much too often. better breaks in that area when there is swell.

To Tulin - Just keep going on the dirt road until you get to end.I think the wave is in front of Soda Tulin.
