so good - i lived here for 4 months on the beach. the point is ridiculously fun and kind of sketchy at the same time. saw tiger sharks twice, also lots of turtles. playa caletas, which is the beach just south of punta coyote, is surfable at mid tide unless it gets over head high, then it closes out. the point is super long and fun, a bit mushy, so it only gets better the bigger it is. i'm not a great surfer and i surfed some 15 foot lefts here, they are semi-soft and long with lots of rock and urchin underneath. maybe very rarely barrels. you can either paddle all the way around from the right or walk out on the rocks to a little spot where there is enough sand to paddle out between the main sections. the people at tangas(the restaurant) are super friendly, and the kid is a great local surfer. don;t stay at the boutique hotl on top of the hill, the owner is a greedy anti-environmentalist nazi who wants to destroy the wildlife refuge at caletas. there are cheap campsites and cabinas in coyote. this wave is pretty consistent and always uncrowded, and you dont want to surf it if you are a beginner. there is one really big rock in the lineup, it is way too shallow at low tide. best at higher tides. and like i said, i saw a couple of really big sharks(no joke, i dont give a shit who goes there or not cause i dont live there and its far enough away from highways to stay uncrowded) .

The best place in the world - This place is amazing, is not so many people and the people there is really nice, for sure is not a place for party but you can enjoy many other special things. and for sure just people who have experience in surf can enjoy the waves here, if not is if you go to other beach.
