Board rental
Loads of cheap rental gear in tamarindo (15$/d). nosara and santa teresa offer fewer options.

What are the waves like here like in November/December? where would be most consistent place to base yourself

Rent or buy...
I would rent, there are some decent shops down there with good choices, so you can change your stick depending on the swell or non-swell.

Buying leaves you with trying to sell it at the end of your trip!

Now, if you are going down for a month than you would have the time to sell and barter.

Where's Witches Rock?
Hey, why isn't witches rock listed here anymore? It's freaking epic. Someone should post it again. It's not like it's a secret, in any event. But if you're travelling the Gunacaste, you're nuts if you pass up the boat trip to witches.

Guanacaste in April
Was wondering where the best places to stay are to be close to the waves? Is Playa Grande with in walking distance from Tamarindo? And is Tamarindo worth bothering with? How easy is Travelling around to stay at different spots with out a hire car? Any info would be great around the subject of where to stay and spots that I should not miss. Cheers for reading Paulo.

Liberia?
Heading into Liberia and need a cheap hotel for one night, any suggestions? Also headed to the Pacific from there, any ideas to avoid high hotel costs and crowds? not looking for those secret spots just somewhere chill to surf for a few days then move on.
