Surfed good waves here in june '09. Parking attendant guy was awesome. Sad to say Lola the pig passed away in late May '09.

I stayed there a few years back -- late summer swell. Nice people and easy access to great waves, although the rooms are somewhat spartan (and there was a scorpion in my shower every morning -- but, that's Central America).

As far as the surf, it was almost totally empty save for two or three other surfers who'd pop in every once in a while. Very relaxed atmosphere. Nice clean break. Get it on a good swell and it's super fun.

was there on Saturday...pretty closed out. Rain has made it really muddy and lots of floating wood and debris...

still better than Malibu though!
