Walk from the parking lot about a 1/2 mile North.
Walk through Cabinas Las Olas over the wooden bridge and then a 1/4 mile North.
Paddle across the rivermouth east of the beach and then walk 150 yards straight to the break.
Find the current to the left of the break for an easier paddle out.
It can get crowded, catch your share and share a few with your brothers.
The wave speed depends on the size and tide and can be slow or fastm mushy or hollow but when the rest of Avellanas is small the rivermouth may have something.

Atmosphere
As with any spot it depends heavily on what type of surfers are out there surfing with you.
It is a beatiful spot to surf, the water is clean and the views are awesome.

I like the spot and plan to surf it again.
