Booked Surf trip for 3rd Oct to 23rd Oct - Booked 3 weeks in BVI and have just read surf is better in Nov. Is this the case? What are prices of boards like to buy?

Jan Trip - Howdy all, heading to the BVI in January 2008 for 2 week sailing trip. Packing the 6'6 board, any tips on where to go? Will be on a yacht, so any hard to reach spots / secrets, pls let me know!

Surf in Oct - Nov - What month is generally better for surf in the BVI, Oct or Nov? I used to live in PR and both Oct and Nov were good months there but Nov seemed to be a bit more consistant. Same deal in the BVI?

Anybody sellin a board??? - Yo is there anyone in the BVI area thats selling either a long board or a funboard in the size range of 6'10" to 8'0", if you do i would appreciate it if you just left a comment with size, condition and price please, thanks a lot (preferably in Tortola...)

Tortola........great! however....... - Spent just after X-mas for 10 days on Apple Bay and the place is beautiful, locals great, safe, OK pice wise...

Swell not bad but other "surf tourist" said it was smaller than usual, to us 80 degree water and a 3-4ft swell was great, except....

Infested with "townies" who changed the vibe competely, all from Rhode Island! Felt like the inbread "Palm Tree Mafia" of the North Shore, ruined a great time and place instantly with their transplated bravado!

Check when your going, GREAT place, do avoid the "RI locals"!

Check it... - Dude, just go and check out the surf reports for the BVI or USVI, they should tell you what the typical swell would be like in that time of year, but personally i'd say probably not, i was just out there for summer and that isn't really isn't the "season", you need top be out for the winter swells...
