| | Fickle but perfect right, only works on good nor/norwest swells in the northern hemi winter..exposed and easily blown out. Score it good and youll be hooked for life! Gets about half the swell of hawaii 5-6 days later...If the North shore is having a good year chances are it will be pumping here consistently. Dont count on it though, some seasons it will barely break at all aparrently, and if theres a south swell running at the sime time it will cause the wave to shut down..we got it 7 days out of 10, but Ive heard of people enduring weeks of flatness..Best to chase a swell up like I did!!

Best waves of my life dec '08 same swells as the sunset contest and the pipe masters..An absolutley perfect right. The big ones(5ft+) have two distinct barrel sections and the smaller deeper waves run perfectly across the reef draining and barelling, beautiful clean water and a very shap, very living reef lurks below but overall not paticularly shallow. |
