By boat or paddle out from Coconuts Resort. Best to stay at Sa'moana Resort on South Side - they will take you by boat. Towns own the breaks - must pay villagers or be with tour
One of the best surf spots around: An incredibly hollow mechanical right-hander.Thick lipped and fast.Horse shoes around the reef.This day the water was so clear you would get into a trance watching the reef under you.Finding yourself inside is not fun but if it's not to low you can let yourself get pushed in over the reef and into the deeper water on the other side.Then simply paddle back out(If you still have finns and not to many cuts)Booties are a must.

Oh what a wave.A back drop of somoan mountains.Reefs either side of you.Some of them very rideable.Some of the bluest water you'll ever see and the odd Whales,dophins,and green turtles popping up here and were.
General
This wave is with be revisiting you for years to come.peaks out the back and horseshoes around the reef.Some hold so don't.At 5-8ft you my need to break out the big hairy ones and strap them to your undercarrage cause it gets sceary.But if you make one or two of the hollow ones you will get a smile on your face that will revisit you the rest of your life.

Why didnt i surf there when i lived there?? It was 10 minutes from my house. Im quite the dumb one even though i was only 4 at the time.

was in samoa recently staying at the sa'moana. epic time. we surfed coconuts very small and got some really good lefts (not what i expected either.) recommend the sa'moana to everyone great surf, people and the best bloody food anywhere. faafthai
