  Head south from New PLymouth along the Surf Hiway. About 5km after Okato turn right down Puniho road or walk across from graveyards there are detailed maps and aerial photos

big wave spot only
yeah-gotta say dont bother when small=-double overhead(very rare)or bigger only for this spot..just dont bring ya mates

ya what!!!!!!?????
dunno wot all tha fuss ia about.puniho is fat as when small and doesn't start to work till its over 5-6 ft with a good strong southerly wind into it

such a sick spot, love it every time. Cant handle too many people though
