As you're heading to Piha on the Piha Road, turn on to Anawhata Road. Drive for about 20 minutes and park on the grass where there is a driveway with a gate. Walk along it until you reach a corner. There is a track Which leads down to the beach.

OR paddle round from the far end of north piha. It takes about 5 minutes to get around BUT DON'T attempt this when its over 6 foot.

LOL - This break is super average not worth the walk!!

By anonymous , 10-03-2006

- Nah way cant hold 8ft, look at the NZ surf guide booklet they say best surfed 2-4 ft. I surfed this place 4ft and was red lining it but was still super sick. Saying any west coast beach can hold 8ft is the most stupid comment ive ever heard of. how can u generalise that much for so many different types of breaks. putting that aside i'd have to say though that this wave barrels sick with the right conditions.
