Park at the end of the Boat Club...always looks tiny from the road, suprising once you get out there. Ledgy short take-off fades quickly into deep water. Rocks in lineup. Easy paddle from boat ramp. Slippery entry.
Overview
Atmosphere
It will get debunked as a myth for sure, hence "Illusions". Next time the pa is 3-4 foot, go and take a nosey at mid-high incoming tide. Entertaining because it is never surfed.
General
Generally, it is a pretty average spot. Will break for an hour two, then be flat. Low tide will see you skewered on the rocks...takeoff is in knee deep water with kelp.

Bitter Kris
That must be because you haven't ridden it. Look at my description, it's crappy, ledgey right and goes once in a blue moon at the right tide, but it's rideable for a drop, bottom turn, snap then fade. But then that describes most of the waves in Plimmerton. And no, I've never surfed off the firestation becauses it's too fat to ride.

arghhh!
Is this the same guy that posted plimmerton sand bar? gimmie ur damn addy im guna cum round and rip out ur pc for being an idiot... next ur gunan tell people the break of the fire station is surfable! this is not a break! im not saying this to be protective im sayng this cause every man and his dog with throw rocks at you if you surf here for being a twitt! ud get better chances of getting waves at karehana bay.. the beach infront of the boat club where people learn to surf! on the big huge days once a year you can get a wave from this "Illusions" to balcks... tkaes about 3 waves but this ledgey right he is talking about is a myth it looks like it have potential if the sea wall continued but it doesn't it drops off into deep water its not rideable
