There are heaps of reefs around this part of the coast, just drive along the road that hugs the beach and take your pick. There are more reefs after the road goes inland, however it's private property beyond this point and access is hard, secret spots aboud without a doubt!
Heaps of options in this general area, just drive to Mahia past the south side breaks and then take the road out east to the reefs, about 5-10mins.

Atmosphere
Some of these waves are shallow and very hollow, making it hard to ride a surfboard. There are however plenty of different types of reefs to suit most riders needs.
General
There are only a few spots here that actually have names, inbetween those and around them are heaps of other reefs that are just as good if not better than the more well known breaks.
