So I'm kiwi born and bread will I be able to enter the ocean at last chance if I come down? I mean shit I feel robbed having to ask to surf a spot at MY HOME COUNTRY!!! Why is there always got to be hostility between europeans and Maori? Aren't we all Kiwis?

Years ago was told to paddle in by one of the locals, you can't ride a boogie board out here bro, we know which car is yours which was my friends(stand up). So i went in not wanting to get my mates car damaged. Needless to say the "bro" was a kook and could barely turn, have surfed all over Mahia for years, always showing respect to the locals and never had a problem before . Have even Ridden outside spit at 4-5 foot with 2 other guys out and about 50 pussies on the inside. Most of the locals are good blokes if you show respect and don't snake but there are a few knobs around who actually think they own some of the spots, these guys are usually inbreed bros or fishermen. Mahia rocks especially with a big NE swell
and a southerly blowin.
