Waimamaku beach and reefs - Isolated pieace of coast your out on your own out here. Need to be there at high tide or not at all. At 1.5m sw swell the beach will be 4ft plus.Very fast powerful waves which can give long rides if you find a good bank. We found some good banks just as you start to reach the rock walking south from the river where you park (about half n hour walk). You want clean glassy swell and offshores. Tried to surf the points but think tide was to low or needs a bigger swell or probably both.chur
