Isobar Surf School - If you're new to surfing or wanting a Taupo Bay surf experience - i'd definitely check out the Isobar Surf School on Mako St - Taupo Bay. Great atmosphere, accommodation and really experienced surf coaches to help you rides the waves for grommets like me. You 'll be standing first day, no worries! More info can be found at their website www.isobarsurf.co.nz - Wicked!

respect taupo bay - Just make sure you keep your dogs leashed and off the beach. Respect the sea bird life there too. Quite a few threatened species down near the better wave action areas of beach
