In Whangarei Harbour on snake bank head out from parua bay and turn right until you hit the sand bank it only breaks at low tide and in a solid cyclone swell, it is located approximately 200m off manganese point.
This wave is totally epic it rarely breaks but when it does its a super long hollow barrel that sucks up the sand and delivers the wave of your life. It also breaks when oil tankers and tugs come up the harbour.
