In Whangarei Harbour on snake bank head out from parua bay and turn right until you hit the sand bank it only breaks at low tide and in a solid cyclone swell, it is located approximately 200m off manganese point.
This wave is totally epic it rarely breaks but when it does its a super long hollow barrel that sucks up the sand and delivers the wave of your life. It also breaks when oil tankers and tugs come up the harbour.

It is an epic atmosphere floating in the harbour by yourself on the sandbar and makes you appreciate how sick this break is its like a long version of teahupoo!

only ever seen it break once but when it did it was completely mindblowing!!! sucks up and goes really square the thick just after the takeoff.can get heavy.. nearly snapp
