Mahanga Access
  turn off the Napier-Gisborne highway at Nuhaka. Follow the road till you get to Opatama and turn left and follow the road right up to the beach. You cant miss it lots of surfers and cars.

The left looks like what happens at the northern end of mahanga beach, a sand/reef break. The other photo is a crock.Mahanga wouldn't be surfable over 6-8 foot...unless you had a helicopter to get out the back. in that case, if your balls were that big the you should go out at Last chance.
