This spot can be a very good pointbreak, it all depends on the sand bank and the swell/wind directions. Can be just as good as Makorori or Currumbin Alley in the goldie.
Atmosphere
I went there for a look one day on a cyclone swell early 2005 and it was cranking solid 6ft hollow pits and crazy wipeouts. This spot is definitely up there when it's on. I surf it regularly now.
General
The spot is moderately localised but if you respect them you shall be fine out there and will have your share of waves.

Same call - You jokin?! I've got a place at that end of town and the estuary pumps a RH at 1-1.5 foot with offshores. Mals only, and I have had some great Mal sessions there. Everything else closes out or is pus. 30 years ago it did have some form, but the whole back beach has been full of sand for at least 10 years and six foot breaks 300m out.

- Whoever wrote that comment has no idea, im stoked u think its the bar lamo. Go join the other hundred people out at the bar while those in the know score. Not gonna say anything more bout this break as it shouldnt even be on this site in my opinion, the massess can have the beach and bar, somethings should be left for those who are willing to search and arent blatant sheep following the crowd.
