Mostly, you cant surf this everyday, you have to wait for a typhoon. There is the Ocean break that gets big and has dangerous reef. The Ocean wave rolls into the bay and it breaks perfect into the bay

Ole Reliable
Whenever I was desperate, I grabbed my longboard and hit Talafofo. Especially if there was wind. I surfed many a one foot days at the bay and had fun. It was good to just be in the damn water.

Talafofo 1966
I was on Guam in 1965 and 1966. My dad was stationed at Anderson AFB. I surfed Talafofo, Boat Basin, and Rick's. Back in those days there were very few true surfers and we had a blast surfing these spots. I mostly surfed with Dwight Morris, and the rest of the gang, from the Air Force base, but there were some really good surfers from the Navy base also. There were only a few local surfers then. It's been along time since I was on Guam and I have some really great memories of Rick's and the Boat basin. We only surfed Talafofo when Rick's and the Boat basin were down, but Talafofo could be alot of fun. I posted some pictures to the Talafofo site. They are the only pictures I have of surfing on Guam. Back then taking pictures wasn't as popular as it is today.
