It is advisable to have reef shoes or even a helmet at some of the reefs. Also, be careful, because some of the locals might resent you stealing their waves. Just know your limits and be respectful. During winter, fall, and typhoon season, Guam provides pretty consistent surf. The majority of the spots are reef break, and are pretty shallow and treacherous. Most of the spots provide long, hollow rides on a good day. There are many secret spots on Guam, and you may not be able to access some without getting onto private property, or renting a boat. Awesome. Chances are there are some waves breaking somewhere on the island. |
