The Old Guam
Well folks...looks to me that the good Old Guam has disappeared, correct me if I'm wrong....Those of us that Surfed Guam in the 60s to 70s had Guam at It's best, no jettys to screw up the Da Boat, no jet skis, no pollution, no bad vibes in the line-up, no hotels at Ricks just a small path to the surf. Best times we had Jerry O and I was at Ricks 3-4 and perfect oily glass, just us two all day "Stoked" At That time I wasn't the best surfer on the Island, but to quote Mike Doyle " The best Surfer in the water is the one having the most fun" The Island was a paradise of course we only realized that after we left Guam... isn't that so true for most things in life...Guam will always be special to me. I'm still in the water here at Santa Cruz for the last 30 years, not Guam but I stll have the "Stoke" Hafa " Keep The Stoke"
