Surf Board Rentals / Breaks Aloha, I am going to Tahiti, Moorea, and Bora Bora on my honeymoon in February. Just like everyone else, Im looking for advice on places that are reasonable to rent boards, and to find out where the good shore breaks are that are close to our hotels. We'll be staying at the Intercontiental Resort Tahiti, Intercontiental Resort Moorea, and the Le Meridien Bora Bora. Mahalo!

Need an Apartment for 3 Months Hey all. I'll be in Tahiti for 3 months starting in mid-September. Does anyone know where to find an apartment? (ideally with internet access, as I need to work during the trip) I'll be surfing, but I've only got 3 months experience (in Florianopolis, Brazil last winter), and am looking for beach breaks in order to keep learning (reef breaks can wait, lol) Anyways, if you've got info, a connection in Tahiti, etc., let me know. Thanks!

sailing & surfin' Tahiti I'm contemplating a visit to Tahiti in early-mid October 2006. I'm an experienced sailor / yachtie and intend to charter a yacht and explore some of the outer reefs on the Societe islands. Various reports suggest there should be swell (waves) and fairly light winds making for OK surf conditions. Question is,where's the better spots that time of year? Being islands, does any particular shore / side work better in say October? Any out of the way spots worth visiting?

Bringinh Boards Into Tahiti Hi guys, heading to Tahiti from Torquay Victoria, in late August for three weeks on way to west coast of South America. Was wondering what it is like to bring in boards to Tahiti. Was thinking of three boards. Is there any taxes involved or can you get through with no trouble. Also looking at taking them into South America after Tahiti, should I sell then en-route?? Is there departure taxes for boards?
