It's the most popular beachbreak on Tahiti and it's the only good beach break on the West Coast. The waves are not always regular in their shapes but you can have good ones (tubes etc...). A lot of new and good tahitian surfers are coming from here. It's also the right place to learn to surf. When reefs are too big for you can surf here. When Paparaa is also too big, go to the Sapinus Beach Break or Paea.

It's a lovely place plenty of friendly locals...but, as always, stay respectful ! And you'll be surprised by their technical level.

Is a nice beack breack a rare thing in all Polinesia dont miss it.
i had great times of surfin there... but really crowded on week end and the level is really high (with hira terinatoofa, raimana, poto with kids and lots of unknown great surfers), even if u respect them, its not easy to take good waves... whatever, ill come back there, its a fun wave!!!

Easy wave. Good spirit. Good alternative when other spots are blowing.The outer reef is a very long paddle.

Very nice locals -
I surfed this spot (or tried to) for about 4 weeks 1 1/2 years a go. All the locals were really nice.... Only experienced one hostile incident in 4 weeks, but it was mainly my mistake anyway.....Come alone is probably always the best way....
