Long paddle to the spot, hire a boat to keep energy, you'll need some there.
Atmosphere
Good atmosphere, nice kids when the wave is small. Good wave to keep in shape when it is small and kind of mellow with a northern swell. It becomes wild really wild when the swell is south, huge barrels and a very tempting but very dangerous last section...
General
Fantastic, scaring, beautiful...It is a short wave but its intensity will make you forget its lack of length. I've seen it working with a 12+ feet swell, I was too scared to get in. The locals made the show. Unforgetable.

i was here - I was here in 2006,2002,2001 and in 1998. i know this place very well and i am going there again in 2011

Brazil travelers - I was wondering are there any hostles on huahine? There will be 8 of use visiting from Brazil with a camara man. We need some magazine shots and to produce a movie and show our country men how good and uncrowded the surf is. We like to meet local girls too, nothing to seious just a couple of one night stands. I here they are really friendly. Thanks for the info.
