Go to Waidroka Bay Resort. They have the surfing rights worked out with the local village. Waidroka Bay is about 2 hours out of Nadi on the Coral Coast.
Waves begins to break on outer reef and peels into deep water. Keep cutting way back inside and stay in the foam. Stay with it! your ride has not finished yet. As you head in towards the inside reef (quite shallow) a full reform/peak will start coming straight at you from down the line. Back door it! where the boat parks is perfect for barrell photo's. Oh yeah after the barrell get out as the wave tends to finish off on very shallow reef.

This is a really fun spot. It is kinda wierd and hard to figure out at first as you gotta keep cutting back way into the foam, while this lump is forming in front of you and coming in fast from the opposite direction. But stay with it as every reform tends to be a full backdoor barrell opporunity.

Waidroka has great waves and Serua rocks...
Also just got back from Waidroka and had a blast. Serua is one of the funnest wavers I surfed, a long right hander which gets bigger and bigger and barrels onm the ionside. Frigates was unreal and Pipe is a real challenge. Waidroka weas great, people good and food and bar , atmosphere great....I'll be back in October - hopefully with a good swell..

Waidroka is cool..
Go there and don't worry - it's a great place tyo stay and surf and the people are cool....Just gopt back and had a great experience...
