Surfed everyday! My wife and I just returned from Nagigia Island, and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From arrival to departure, I surfed everyday ranging from 2-3 foot perfect glass to 6-8 foot charge. Surfed mostly King Kong Left, but got to surf the not so frequent King Kong Right as well. Not being used to reef breaks, the extreme knowledge of the surf guides helped me feel confident in this gem of a spot. A very tide influenced break, but plenty to do while waiting for the right tide. Definitely recommend Nagigia Island Resort and King Kong Left & Right to anyone in need of a surf influenced relaxing get away. To add, the staff, food, and sights are top-rate.

to the andrew macpherson of the world thank you for your apologies as your comments caused some amount of distress for our daughter involved as it looked 100% that you were directing the comments at her parent..guys if you have been heart broken thru a relationship remember this is a global surf site for like minded people it is not a site to slander ex's

Travel to Nagigia Sorry yes you’re correct I have no Idea who you are, my apologies. Essentially all I wanted to point out is that surf resort is a great place, the last comment was in reference to something that was said to me as I was leaving. It referred to my partner at the time and I wanted to point out that the comments can true.. Apologies, as this a global site I can see how confusion can arise. Tim

Don't buy into the negative comments I travelled to the Nagigia surf resort back in September 06, yes the accomadation is basic but the views, people and waves more than make up for it. You do pay a bit extra but you get no crowds and access to a truly world class break. The power of the wave is compariable to Tahiti and is very hollow. One of best memories is arriving at 4.30 pm, jumping on a skip and getting shaked at sunset on my first wave. The best thing of all was that I was the only person out! Anyway I hope Jason is still at the Nagigia surf resort as it was his baby and without him and his stories it wouldn't be the same. PS.. if you read this Jason you were right, Monique is a crazy b@tch and took me for everything. If only I had listened! haha

Having spent a week at Nagigia surf resort all that can be said is its along way to go to get ripped off. The wave is not what they claim. It did not even break when i was there, however on their website they posted photos of a 4 to 6 foot wave with off shore winds. p.s.management are tools, the food poisoning was bad Spend your money elsewhere !!!!!

This wave is owned! Forgot to say - if you try and surf here without staying at the resort, locals will come out from the island and make you get out of the water. They will take you to the local cheif who will force you to pay money (or ciggies or alcohol). If you refuse they will probably get voilent. It seems the surf resort has done a 'deal' with the village to guarantee the wave can only be surfed by their guests. Even if there is nobody else surfing the wave, the local Fijiians will chase you off. It really sucks. Fiji is one of the only places in the world where people literally own the waves.

Watch out for the PR spin... Guys, seriously, this wave is hardly ever any good. It's a very short ride that generally closes out. All these pix are from the rare occassions when it looks really good - but the reality is that all you usually get is a steep drop and then nothing. All the bullshit comments on here about it being a world class wave are most likely written by the guys who own the only resort nearby. They're also the guys who take most of the pix. Don't trust them - the wave is very average.
