Ask locals where the point lookout is. When you arrive at the point lookout you wil see a track (car) leading out towards the rock groin. After a 30 second driver you will come across a car park area. Park the car, jump over the rocks and tehre she is. After a short walk (bring thongs) to the tripod (you can hang thongs there) you are basically right there.
Great WA Classic
I reckon this is a great wave have surfed it most times when heading up the coast on hols. Locals are cool spoke to one of the blokes who built the tripod great Aussie ingenuity. Just don't be a wanker and hassel for waves. I looked pretty stupid on my first surf there walking out bare foot getting reef cuts not knowing what the tripod was for, thought fairdinkum these locals have tough feet.
