just another world class wave in sw wa.
It's big, it barrels, and it breaks easy way down on the inside. Just another great wave in SW WA, like about 25 others, its a classy, heavy area. You just need to wait for the winds to be right-winds best usually in Feb-May, but Sep-Nov can often get good as well.

beginners
I learned to surf in margaret river and i absolutely loved grunters. If you stay relatively close to shore, on decent swell days there are plenty of small rolling waves, easy to catch and a really nice long ride. If you go out farther you can hit some big waves, but right off the point i found to be a great place for beginners, i cought my best waves here, even on a sloppy day elsewhere, i could surf here. Now there is a paved road going to a car park right above it, or you can go to the gas bay car park and walk along the beach. Great spot, check it out!
