Seasonal swell & wind variations:

Usually the swell comes from the south west in Perth. It probly varies down south and up north but i dont know.

Wind is usually east in the mornings and the sea breeze comes any time between 11am-2pm. If it is west in the morning its usually still worth going down unless thers a big storm cos the winds only go about 4-8kn

- Nice 1.35m waves at Rotto and light offshore breeze, but by 8:30am there were 28 guys in the water. You could barely take a left without having to dodge boards, and drop-ins were frequent.

My first trip to Gnaraloo was a real eye opener. Such a beautiful place with amazing surf. This is the biggest break I've seen and surfed. We didn't have ideal weather while we were there unfortunately. A series of very powerful fronts

We had a mix of conditions. In one sense we were really lucky as the inlet wasn't browning up the water this time, but I have seen better banks.

The POWER State - WA Rocks I know as I have lived all around Australia and for powerful down the line waves nowhere comes close in OZ. Queensland has the easiest waves, NSW the most consistant, victoria has size but lacks power. Wa is the shit. Long drives, shitloads of flies, Hot flange.
