On a big day the wave will break behind mermaids off a reef and peel all the way down the beach to the second section where most people would surf.The second section is surfed right next to rocky island and then surfed all the way through the pier. In summer the beach receives a lot more NE swells which is the best swell direction while in winter the sand shifts and Westerly are the prodominent winter swells.Quite oftern old pier has offshore that are too strong which makes it really difficult to catch a wave.
