where it is! - It is part of the Tasman National Park on the Tasman peninsula. I dunno who the dumbarse is who thinks its near arthur river.

Where is it??? - In the access section it says in the Nubeena region (on the tasman peninsula) but then says get to marrawah and arthur river which is west coast... I just moved down to tassie and wanna check it out but doesnt make sense.

Any enlightenment?

pound for pound - This wave, size for size, ranks with places like Teahupoo. As for cowies, thats a bommie whereas this breaks right in front of massive boulders. Stuff up the takeoff and goodnight Irene. Just that fact, i reckon, makes Shippies scarier than most big wave venues.

cyclops looks heavier - I think cyclopsis heavier but this waveess....whoa I think just to see the wave beiing all f***ed up it is way more dangerous
