Highly variable banks. Can hold up to 6 foot on a very good day but often closes out in anything over 2.5/3ft. Banks are generally better on high tide although there have been exceptions.

There are banks that seem to hold for a a few weeks then it reverts back to dumpers. Went out last sunday with awesome little left and right three footers cruising along the middle of the beach. I don't know about it holding 6ft plus, the swell never seems fragmented enough when the swells that solid. I reckon East coast surfers would be surprised by the power of this place when it's cooking.

if clifton has waves everywhere else will be better and less crowded. haven't seen anything resembling a bank here for atleast a year.
