bodyboarded this when it was raining n cold and the beach break you paddle through was massive. Had a few of the heaviest waves i have ever caught on that day. looked like shark island crossed with a washing machine. Oh yeah you can sand board the hill if your game

Punchy little lefty
Super sucky, late takeoffs, deep little pits, it's a lid only wave and it packs a massive punch for it's size - if you don't make it you get slammed into a barnacle covered ledge. You have to take off deep to make the most of the short litlle barrel. You get full coverage and a neck full of spit. I've never surfed it bigger than 3 foot, and I'm not sure if it would work much bigger?? I think it would suck dry!? Has anyone seen it 4 foot plus?? Pick your waves and be patient. Local legend Sean tells me it's a prominent shark breeding area... and if you're not phased by sharks wait until you see the shadows in the small, but very deep channel on the way out. ps It's way too shallow for sticks - the barnacles would definitely grind off your fins...
