Drive to Victor Harbor and turn left at the roundabout before town head along the coast past Pt Elliot and Middleton. Take the road to the beach before the town. Drive to the beach carpark and paddle out.
Not a great spot but very occasionally gets good. This is the place to go if the swell is too big for Waits and Parsons but to small for some of the other breaks around Middleton or Pt Elliot. A really long paddle out especially onshore conditions. Sometimes has strong longshore rips.

Atmosphere
Nothing special but a good beach for lying around on or learning.

I hate trying to get out to the back here. The sand bars like continually change and theres never a decent rip to pull ya out.
Then again, i can be so lazy at times

yeah like said below it only get really good occasionally. Can get good reforms which are fun even if they just shut down. occasionally it opens up out the back and ive even seen a longboarder get some cover up time but this was only once. This is a great spot to learn. You can practice standing up on the little foamers, practice your paddling as you will need to do alot of this here, practice your shore breaks on the reforms and become comfortable in waves that are around 4 ft without getting crunched much. Its an ok spot give it a shot

im a local down at goolwa so i see it at its best and its worst... you get the odd few days where theres a tiny bit of off-shore and the swell reforms on the sand bar and you'll get the odd barrel or 2.. most days tho, its just crumbles.. but if u want a surf, theres always something 2 grovel around in, i've hardly ever seen it flat.. overall its not a bad break........ nat
