- This break was first surfed around 1974/ 75 by Rick Hutchison, a knee boarder and art teacher at Yorketown Area School. He named it "Goldies" after Goldsmiths Beach which is the small beach located further down the point towards Edithburg. It was also surfed by a handful of surfers from the bottom end at Stenhouse and Marion Bay. Hutchie lives in the local community and still surfs this place so show him some respect. It needs a solid swell, light N to NNW winds and a high tide to work.

yew - the right is good but on low tide the reef is very shallow i could stand up and im mini the water wud ov been up to my belly button

Hey - yeh its a bit like boomer but doesnt break on the shore i luv this spot tho been going there since i was born 13 years ago
