Rafters Access |
| |
To access these spots you must climb down through caves in the cliff tops at various spots along the bight until you come out through caves over the Southern Ocean. There are many, many spots like this along the cliffy coastline. Easier spots to access are near the many car-park lookout spots after Eucla on the Eyre highway heading East. |

Additional Surfing Infos |
| | If you want probably the most intense and dangerous surfing in the world, and do not have wives or children to return to then surf this area. There are many caves in the range of 30m-150metres wide, that generally have reef bottoms and rocky bits allover the place to look out for. The greatest thing about the waves in this area is not the size or shape or length (although, this being the southern ocean they ARE awesome), but the fact that you are catching the waves and judging your run actualy 'into' the caves. At the point that you surf into the cave at full, pelt a darkness envelopes you and you are surfing blind, so you must be ready to pull back over the wave at any moment, in this moment an envelope of dark darkness

Atmosphere |
BRUTAL, TOTALLY LIFE-THREATENING, AND CHANGING. FUCK CHOPPO, FUCK MAVS, FUCK HAWIAI COS NONE OF THEM COMPARE. GREAT WHITES EVERYWHERE BUT THEY WILL NOT BOTHER YOU UNLESS YOU TAKE A BODYBOARD OR WEAR A DAFFY-DUCK COSTUME. ONE IMPORTANT THING TO THINK ABOUT: 'YOU MAY VERY WELL DIE HERE' |
