Additional Surfing Infos

  Overview
Atmosphere Also a popular windsurfing location.
General Like any beach exposed to the open swell, this place can be horrible, or great. Get a good sand bank on an offshore wind, with a medium swell, and you will think you are in heaven.

Your right
You are correct bit hit and miss in the south east. Perhaps you should have taken the the time out to venture a bit further south to where the real action begins that and get friendly with some locals and learn to read a weather map right and you will score

The REAL story...
Been to Robe 4 times in the past 12 months...IT SUX, apparentely their r some good waves there however after just spending 3 weeks there and surfing nothing but close outs iv given up. In 4 trips never scored a better than average wave! Wouldnt bother making the trip, these so call good spots of "Stonies" and "Mateches" r just short inconsistent crappy beach brakes that rarely ever work! Would head to Vic or even Victor Harbor any day. Sorry to anyone i offend but it really ant worth the trip
