Additional Surfing Infos
A shorebreak wedge, this is primarily a bodyboarders wave although you do get surfers out on small days where there is a bit of East in the swell because it makes the wave a lot softer. Real Knights starts in a solid 4 foot SW swell when, if the banks are good, you can catch a wave that can wedge at 90 degrees and barrel intensely. Has been compared to famous Newport Wedge in California. Pull in or smack one of the abundant airbowls.
  Overview
Atmosphere As this is the only real wave of any quality and good accessibility within an hour of Adelaide, at times it gets ridiculously crowded- its a narrow take off zone. There have been a number of serious injuries jumping off the rocks, so be careful! Has power and can pack a punch- when you get used to lining up the wedge- oh baby!
General Although this place gets super crowded, and needs a lot of other factors to work in its favour, when its on- its on!

No stand up traffic!
what the hell are you talking about mate. surfers NEVER surf knights apart from 1-2 foot days in summer. go back to dribbleton mate, you are dreaming!

Not just for body boarders...
Me n my mates have been surfing knights and boomers for the last few summers, we stay down in victor for the hollies. And you can stand up, just gotta pull out before the close out. On a big swell the knights and boomer back break is perfect, it breaks far out and you can get a long ride in. perfect for taking a left at boomer. you dont see many people stading up out there but it can be done. and check out 'Bullies' on a big swell, its the next spot south on from boomer and breaks a far way out but gets huuuuuuge.
peace!
