| | A shorebreak wedge, this is primarily a bodyboarders wave although you do get surfers out on small days where there is a bit of East in the swell because it makes the wave a lot softer. Real Knights starts in a solid 4 foot SW swell when, if the banks are good, you can catch a wave that can wedge at 90 degrees and barrel intensely. Has been compared to famous Newport Wedge in California. Pull in or smack one of the abundant airbowls.

As this is the only real wave of any quality and good accessibility within an hour of Adelaide, at times it gets ridiculously crowded- its a narrow take off zone. There have been a number of serious injuries jumping off the rocks, so be careful! Has power and can pack a punch- when you get used to lining up the wedge- oh baby! |
