If it's on, the crowds will probably be epic. If you are pn the Sunshine Coast and there is swell about head straight for Wurtulla and stake out a spot before sunrise even. Some pretty hardcore locals in this area
Atmosphere
Most of my best ever surfs have been here...if there is enough swell and the wind isnt too bad it is an excellent wave - one of the best on the coast. Miles of relatively tourist free beach but the water crowds can get big. It's the type of spot where you can surf for half a day and get constant barrels.

You don't want to be anywhere else but here when it's on.

- if you go up the sunshine coast leave your bad attitude at home. the vibe in the water is completely different to the gold coast. the locals are polite and everyone should mirror that. sunny coast is usually smaller than the gold coast depending on swell direction but when its on it on.

- It's a shame it has become so popular as it is a world class beachbreak that used to be quite secret. Awsome peaks but always too crowded if any good
