The thing about this spot is getting it at the right time. A couple of times, when the wind is offshore and the tide is up there has been an epic hollow shorey, but on the flipside it can still be fun with a low tide. May as well check it because you never know when you're gonna get it to yourself! Oh, and LOCK YOUR CAR. Oh yeah, and keep an eye out for the dog with a huge tongue
Overview
Atmosphere
Kawana breaks in general are fairly crowded, but for some reason this spot is rarely crowded. I remember one day last year when me and my mate shaun were surfing to ourselves and it was 4 foot offshore with noone out.
General
In the summer this spot is awesome. And the plus is it's close to shops and food for that after surf feed.

Ive been living at kawana beach for the last 9 years. It would defiently have to be the most unpredictable of beach breaks. I have been out in a good 6-8ft, and ive also seen in like a lake. Only ever witnessed 3 sharks.

Been surfing this spot a few times now, and high tide seems to offer a good wave that is ridable for aprox. 50 to 100m. On lower tides it is advicable to drive along the road following the beach an make a few stops for the best surf available. It's not always popping, and seems to blow out really quickly once the notherlies kicks in.I have never seen or heard of sharks here, but they are a fact we live with so I'm not too worried.Thefts doesn't seem to be a problem, but that is NEVER a guarantee :-(It is a well worth spot to check out, especially if you like beach breakes pretty much to your self
